ISO 27001 information security webinar series

Throughout the months of October and November, the Qudos team proudly presented a series of 3 information security webinars on behalf of the Queensland Government Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning.

The webinars took a no-nonsense, plain English approach to helping business to learn about information security, learn how to protect against cyberattacks, and then systemise their approach for maximum long-term benefit.

Webinar 1- introduction to Information security

Webinar 1 was an introduction to Information security and why you shouldn’t ignore this critical topic. It provided expert tips on basic steps to protect against cyberattacks.

Webinar 2 - ISO 27001

Webinar 2 discussed the requirements of ISO 27001:2022 - the new global standard for information security management systems.

Webinar 3 - Developing your ISMS and the ISO 27001 certification process

Webinar 3 followed up by explaining the key steps in developing your Information security management system, and the ISO 27001 certification process.

The main presenters were Alan Jones and Kelane Kelly of Qudos Management. The webinars included valuable contributions from Cody Heit at SACKO technology, Scott Hukins from cyber and business insurance broker Steadfast NSG, Jon Bunch, a senior manager with software business Vela Group, Simon Bristow from Hays recruitment, Jeremy Fisher from Southpac Certifications, and Jonny Tran from PWC Certification. The webinars were facilitated with excellent support by the team at Queensland Government, DSDILGP North Lakes, including Frances Bottle, Tim McGrath, and Andrea Browne.  We sincerely thank everyone involved for helping to make the series such a great success.
