Qudos announce new ISO 27001 InfoSec Toolkit

New information security toolkit on its way

It seems that every day another information security incident makes the news. Now, more and more organizations are implementing systems to preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of their information. ISO 27001 is the industry-standard model for those systems - especially if certification is required.

ISO 27001 has quite extensive requirements for policies on various elements of information security and for some time, Qudos3 IMS software and Qudos Club have included a set of policy templates. Now, Qudos announce the new ISO 27001 InfoSec Toolkit - greatly expanded with a detailed guide book on all clauses and controls in the standard, plus an activity plan, updated and enhanced policy documents, and many additional tools and templates.

The update will shortly be made available to all current Qudos3 and Qudos Club clients. It will be automatically applied to all our Qudos3 cloud service clients and club members over the next few weeks, and included in the full version 3.43 update for self-hosted clients (scheduled for release during 2022 Q2).

ISO 27001 Gap Analysis

The first step in addressing a standard like ISO 27001 is to identify any gaps between its requirements and what controls and system elements may already be in place. This step is known as a Gap Analysis. There is a Gap Analysis tool included in the toolkit as a Micrososft Word document. Qudos3 also includes a complete ISO 27001 Gap Anlaysis checklist as an Audit template. That option allows seamless integration into Actions to address any gaps identified.
